FAQs.
Why does Nicole blend counselling, mentoring, yoga therapy, and energy medicine in her sessions?
Nicole works with the whole human — mind, body, energy, and spirit — because modern leaders don’t thrive through mindset alone.
Transformation is multi-layered.
- Counselling supports emotional and psychological clarity
- Mentoring provides direction, accountability, and strategic insight
- Yoga therapy reconnects you to the body’s intelligence and nervous-system regulation
- Energy medicine helps shift deeper patterns that logic alone can’t touch
This integrated approach helps clients move from intellectual understanding into embodied change — where real, lasting transformation occurs.
What if I don’t want energy work or yoga therapy in my sessions?
That’s completely okay. Every session is customised to your comfort level, needs, and boundaries.
You can choose a purely counselling-and-mentoring approach, or invite somatic or energetic layers later if it feels right.
This work is always:
- collaborative
- consent-based
- respectful
- personalised
No pressure. No expectations.
How does Nicole approach different religious or spiritual beliefs?
With respect and neutrality.
Nicole’s work is inclusive, non-denominational, and adaptive to all belief systems — spiritual, religious, secular, or none of the above.
Energy and embodiment practices are offered in a grounded, trauma-informed way that supports your worldview, never contradicts it.
Do I need experience with energy work or yoga to benefit?
Not at all. Nicole meets you exactly where you are — whether you’re completely new or highly experienced.
This work is about awareness, presence, and connection, not performance.
Everything is explained clearly, simply, and without jargon.
How do I know what approach is best for me?
You don’t need to know in advance — Nicole guides you through this.
Every session begins with:
- a check-in
- clarity
- intention setting
The approach shifts dynamically based on what your mind, body, and energy require that day.
Healing and growth are never one-size-fits-all.
How is mentoring different from therapy?
Therapy focuses on:
- processing the past
- healing emotional wounds
- understanding patterns
Mentoring focuses on:
- direction
- alignment
- integration
- leadership
- embodying the next evolution of who you are
Nicole blends both, offering:
- counselling for emotional depth
- mentoring for movement, strategy, and expansion
This combination is especially powerful for high-functioning humans and leaders.
How is my privacy and confidentiality protected?
Your privacy is paramount.
All sessions are confidential, following:
- The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
- ACA Code of Ethics
Your information is never shared unless:
- there is a risk of harm
- legal obligations apply
- de-identified supervision is required for professional standards
Your safety, dignity, and confidentiality remain the highest priority.
Are sessions better online, in person, or over the phone? What are the benefits of each?
All formats — in-person, online, and phone sessions — are equally powerful.
Choose based on what best supports you.
Online sessions offer:
- comfort and privacy
- no travel
- deep emotional & energetic work
- flexibility for busy leaders
- a safe space to process uninterrupted
Phone sessions offer:
- simplicity and accessibility
- deeper emotional expression without visual pressure
- freedom to sit, walk, or rest while processing
- easy integration into a demanding schedule
Many clients find phone sessions surprisingly powerful because the lack of visual stimuli allows deeper clarity and honesty.
In-person sessions offer:
- grounded physical presence
- deeper somatic and embodiment work
- a dedicated, calm environment away from home
Nicole is highly experienced in facilitating deep transformation across all three formats — none diminish the quality of the work.
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy uses:
- therapeutic movement
- breathwork
- grounding
- nervous-system regulation
It reconnects you with the wisdom of your body, supports emotional stability, and helps release stored tension or patterns, all in a safe, trauma-informed way.
It is completely tailored to your needs.
What does “somatic work” mean?
Somatic work helps you tune into the felt experience of your body — sensations, tension, emotional signals, and internal cues.
It reveals where stress and old patterns are stored so they can be released and integrated.
This is especially powerful for leaders who spend much of their lives “in their head.”
